Ukrainian diplomats find seven Ukrainians previously considered missing in Israel – Foreign Ministry
Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian diplomats found seven Ukrainians who were previously considered missing in the south of Israel, Spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Oleh Nikolenko has said.
"In just three days, the operational headquarters of the Foreign Ministry, which was created to help Ukrainians in Israel, processed more than 700 requests from our citizens. Over the past day, Ukrainian diplomats found seven Ukrainians who were previously considered missing in the south of the country. Now they are safe," he said on the national telethon on Tuesday.
In addition, the Foreign Ministry said the Ukrainian Embassy helped six families find temporary housing in Israel.
Nikolenko recalled that diplomats continue to deal with the fate of the Ukrainian boy who was rescued on Monday in the combat zone. He is provided with medical treatment, psychological support and preparations are being made for his return to Ukraine to his relatives.
"As for the Ukrainians killed or injured: we have confirmed information about two Ukrainian women. We reported this earlier. The situation has not changed. There is information about the possible death of three more Ukrainians: two in Israel, one in the Gaza Strip. But this information has not yet been confirmed. No other information has been received about the injured Ukrainians," he said.
Nikolenko also spoke about the Ukrainians who contacted the operational headquarters because they were unable to leave Israel due to the cancellation of flights.
"Here we have a figure of almost 300 citizens on Israeli territory, as well as 150 Ukrainians in the Gaza Strip who have declared their desire to leave the enclave," he said.
