Ukrainian defenders have secured control over four settlements near the administrative border of Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, the Operational Command Pivden (South) has reported.

"In the meantime, the actions of our mobile anti-tank groups ensured control of the territory of four settlements near the administrative border of Mykolaiv and Kherson regions," reads the message posted on Facebook.

During the day, the aggressor continued engineering improvements to its positions in Kherson and Mykolaiv directions and did not conduct active offensive operations, but shelled artillery and armored vehicles of Ukrainian units.

"Since yesterday in the town of Tokmak, in Zaporizhia, the occupiers began mass tailoring and disguise their soldiers in the uniform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The implementation of provocative actions by such units in order to compromise the Ukrainian military in the occupied territories and attacks by hit squads on the line of contact is not ruled out," the Command reports.
