The German Bundestag voted by a convincing majority in favor of expanding and accelerating the provision of heavy weapons to Ukraine, said Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk.

"The deputies called on the federal government 'to extend and, if possible, accelerate the supply of necessary equipment to Ukraine, as well as to expand deliveries with heavy weapons and complex systems,'" she wrote on her Telegram channel.

"The German Bundestag strongly condemns Russia's brutal war of aggression against Ukraine. In doing so, Russia grossly violates international and humanitarian law and tries to permanently destroy the European peace order," the document reads.

Kondratiuk expressed gratitude to German deputies for their decisiveness and readiness to provide Ukraine with the heavy weapons it needs right now.

"We expect that the German government will heed the call of the Bundestag," the deputy speaker added.
