Ukraine waiting for serious steps from NATO, EU, G7 – Zelensky

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Ukraine is waiting for serious steps from NATO, the EU and the G7 countries, which will hold summits in the coming days.
"On March 24, in Europe, in Brussels, three important summits will take place at once. Important for the security of each of us. NATO summit. EU summit. G7 summit. I am sure that people will demonstrate how they support us. But also politicians must support freedom. All of them. They must support the fight for life. We are waiting for serious steps from NATO, the EU and the G7," Zelensky said in a video message on Wednesday night.
As the president said, the Russians have already begun to lobby their interests in the upcoming summits, which are to "put down the topic of war."
"We know that the Russians have already begun to lobby for their interests. These are the interests of the war. We know that they are working with some partners. We know that they want to extinguish this topic. The theme of the fight against the war. But the war needs to be extinguished," he said.
"Free people of the free world! Together we must prevent Russia from breaking anyone in NATO, the EU or the G7. Break and drag them to the side of the war. We'll see on March 24," Zelensky added.
The head of state also said that within the framework of the NATO, EU and G7 summits, Ukraine would have a strong position.
"These three summits will be our strong position… We have asked for our skies to be closed. And we have asked for NATO assistance for Ukraine to be effective and without restrictions. Any weapon support we need. We have asked the Alliance to say that there will be comprehensive assistance to Ukraine to win this war, clear our territory of invaders and restore peace in Ukraine," the president said.
He added that "at these three summits we will see who is a friend, who is a partner, and who has sold out and betrayed."
