The Cabinet of Ministers has authorized the Ukrainian National Center for Peacebuilding to perform the functions of the National Information Bureau in accordance with the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

According to resolution No. 228 of March 17, in order to fulfill Ukraine's obligations in the field of international humanitarian law, the government determined that the state enterprise Ukrainian National Center for Peacebuilding, which is under the control of the Ministry for the Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories, performs the functions of the National Information Bureau in accordance with the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War dated August 12, 1949.

The ministry was instructed to ensure that the state enterprise performs the functions of the National Information Bureau in relation to prisoners of war held since February 24, 2022.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was instructed to notify the International Committee of the Red Cross about the performance by the state enterprise of the functions of the National Information Bureau.
