Evacuation of civilian population starts in Kyiv region - head of regional military administration

The evacuation of civilian population from the settlements of Kyiv region (Irpin, Bucha, Hostomel, Borodyanka, Vorzel) temporarily occupied by Russian invaders through the humanitarian corridor began on Wednesday, the first convoys have already left, head of the Kyiv regional military administration Oleksiy Kuleba reports.

"The evacuation of people began today along the humanitarian corridor. We have an agreement on the following cities: Irpin, Bucha, Hostomel, Borodyanka and Vorzel," Kuleba said in a video message published in a telegram.

According to him, the first columns have already left. "Now a convoy is leaving for Bucha. I really hope that everything will be fine and we will take all our people," the head of the regional military administration said.

He said that due to the lack of electricity and mobile communications in these settlements, the task of notifying the population about the evacuation was taken over by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

"The State Emergency Service travels with loudspeakers. They will talk, they will make statements," Kuleba said.
