During the day, on February 28, Ukraine's Air destroyed five Russian fighter jets, columns of armored vehicles and a column with fuel, an anti-aircraft missile system, a helicopter and a cruise missile, the Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has said on Facebook.

"During the invaders' air raid on Vasylkov and Brovary, Ukrainian fighter pilots intercepted and shot down two Russian aircraft. The work of Ukrainian fighters was completed by S-300 anti-aircraft missile divisions, hitting three enemy aircraft. The air force shot down five fighters. According to preliminary data, they included Su- 30 and Su-35 jets," the report says.

Near Kyiv, the Buk M-1 anti-aircraft missile system shot down an enemy cruise missile and helicopter.

Ukrainian Su-25 attack aircraft carried out several missile and bomb attacks on columns of armored vehicles and enemy manpower in the Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions, the report says.

The Air Force struck at tank columns, columns of mechanized equipment, a convoy with fuel and lubricants in the Chernihiv region and near Berdiansk.

The crew of the Bayraktar TB2 destroyed an enemy tank and two Buk anti-aircraft missile systems.
