Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that he has a number of ideas regarding a possible date for a Normandy Four summit, but Germany and France will hold talks to agree on such a date and offer it to Russia.

"This date also depends on us today... And as regards the date, I'd like to say that, for example, yesterday I talked to [German] Chancellor Angela Merkel. We raised this issue. They will discuss it with the French side, I won't say when, but it will happen in the near future ... And then they will offer this date to the Russian side," Zelensky told reporters at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.

"I already have ideas regarding this date to which we agree," the president said, adding that "this should be done as soon as possible, because people keep dying in Donbas every day."
