Poroshenko makes submission on CEC members

Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andriy Parubiy has said that President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, made a submission on Monday on the members of the Central Election Commission (CEC); speaker of the Parliament instructed to send the candidates' documents for a special check.

"The president of Ukraine has just made a submission on the members of the Central Election Commission to the parliament. And I immediately instructed to send all the documents of the candidates on the CEC members for a special check," he wrote on Facebook.

Parubiy posted a photocopy of the list of candidates signed by Poroshenko (dated February 5), noting that: "In order to remove all intrigues about the list of candidates, I publish the text of the submission."

There are 14 candidates in this list: Ala Basalayeva, Natalia Bernatska, Mykhailo Verbensky, Andriy Yevstigneyev, Iryna Yefremova, Olha Zheltova, Oleh Konopolsky, Svitlana Kustova, Olha Lotiuk, Vitaliy Plukar, Yevhen Radchenko, Tetiana Slipachuk, Leontiy Shypylov and Tetiana Yuzkova.

Thus, Nadiya Synytsia was excluded from the previous list of the president, and Andriy Yevstigneyev was introduced.

Yevstigneyev is PhD in Law, Teacher of Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko. This is the candidature from the Batkivschyna faction.

Earlier, an MP from Batkivschyna faction Oleksiy Riabchin said that the president had promised to consider the candidacy of Yevstigneyev as a member of the Central Electoral Commission, submitted by the Batkivschyna faction.
