Lutsenko says oldest son paid for family vacation in Seychelles

Head of Ukraine's Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) Yuriy Lutsenko has said he and his family took a vacation in the Seychelles. The vacation spot was chosen by his son, who paid for the trip.
"For those worried about my expenses, at the end of September my older son got married and tucked away a sum to pay for a honeymoon at a later date. In 2018, Iryna my wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. We decided to travel as a family and share a vacation," Lutsenko said on his Facebook page.
Lutsenko said his son Oleksandr and his spouse Anastasia picked the Seychelles because of its warm temperature.
"My son paid air travel expenses. Living expenses (about $20,000 for three persons) we paid for ourselves," Lutsenko said, adding that he has not money tucked away in offshore accounts.
The PGO chief said he donated UAH 450,000 to help wounded soldiers from the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) during 2017.
Lutsenko's wife Iryna is a Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc. The couple has two sons, Oleksander, born in 1989, and Vitaliy, born in 1999.
