Everything 'Russian world' touches, becomes worthless - Gerashchenko about Ukrainian ships in Crimea

First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Iryna Gerashchenko is sure that Ukraine will return Crimea and all its property, including ships.

"We'll not sell out Crimea for ships, we will neither surrender nor swap it. Indeed, these are our ships stolen by Putin. They are brought to an awful condition by the invaders, just like the entire Crimea. Everything touched by the 'Russian world' comes to a waste," Gerashchenko wrote on Facebook, commenting on the proposal of Russian President Vladimir Putin to return the military equipment left in Crimea to Ukraine.

"We will return Crimea and all Ukrainian property there, including ships. And Donbas, too," Gerashchenko said.

As reported, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia is ready to give back to Ukraine the combat equipment the Ukrainian army and fleet abandoned when leaving the Crimean Peninsula. He said that the Ukrainian military equipment "is in poor condition."

"But it's none of our business. This is the condition it actually was in. And naturally, nobody has ever serviced it all these years," Putin said.

He says about dozens of warships, dozens of aircraft.

"As for the ships, I think it will be better if Ukrainian servicemen just come and take them. We are ready to help transport them to Odesa," Putin said.
