Mosiychuk regains consciousness after surgery, makes first statement

Radical Party MP Ihor Mosiychuk has come to his senses after surgery that was conducted as a result of injuries that he sustained in an explosion in Kyiv late on October 25 and made his first statement, the MP's press service has reported.

"I believe that those who ordered this are in Moscow, and those who executed are in Kyiv. It's not excluded that these can be agents in a patriotic environment. This is the first attempt on a statesman of this level in Ukraine. I am alive only thanks to my deceased security guard Ruslan. He was a former Berkut employee and stood on the other side of the barricades in 2013. And yesterday he died saving me, a nationalist. Life is not black and white. In order to win we must realize this. The Ukrainian nation must become united, turning the page of internal strife. I express sincere apologies to his family. I will never forget them. Now I have three children, the third child is Ruslan's four-year-old daughter. As for my condition, my right side was affected - from the side where the explosion occurred. The operation was successful," the Mosiychuk said.

As reported, MP Mosiychuk and political analyst Vitaliy Bala were injured in an explosion outside the building of the Espreso TV channel late on October 25. Both of them were hospitalized. Mosiychuk's security guard was also injured in the explosion and later died on his way to hospital.
