Rozenblat says UAH 7 mln bail was posted for him
The family of Boryslav Rozenblat, who was expelled from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction and stripped of his immunity from prosecution, posted a UAH 7 million bail for him, the lawmaker said in a comment to the Ukrayinska Pravda news portal on Monday.
"This has been done by my family," the MP said, answering a question on who posted a bail for him.
At the same time, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office reported that they do not have such information yet.
As reported, in June, Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine Artem Sytnyk reported a scheme of illegal amber mining, in which MP Rozenblat and MP Maksym Poliakov of the People's Front faction were involved. The amount of received bribes exceeded UAH 300,000.
On June 21, Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko requested the parliament should give its consent to prosecution, detention and arrest of these two people's deputies.
On July 12, 2017, the Verkhovna Rada conceded to prosecution of Poliakov and Rozenblat, but voted against their detention and arrest.
The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requested UAH 10 million bail as a preventive measure for Rozenblat.
On July 18, Kyiv's Solomiansky District Court chose a pre-trial restriction for Rozenblat in the form of a UAH 7 million bail and an obligation to wear an electronic tracking bracelet, not to leave Kyiv and Zhytomyr without notice and to hand over all his foreign passports.
