The Permanent Court of Arbitration in the Hague is continuing proceedings on the suit of businessman Ihor Kolomoisky and Belbek Airport (Crimea) against the Russian Federation despite non-participation of the defendant.

The hearing will be held simultaneously with the hearing on the case of PJSC PrivatBank and Finilon LLC Financial Company against the Russian Federation on July 12-14, 2016.

Earlier, the tribunal, inter alia, decided that the proceedings would continue despite the respondent's [Russia] failure to provide statements of defense. The tribunal posed questions to the parties on December 18, 2015, February 29, 2016, and the plaintiffs have provided answers to the questions of the arbitral tribunal, however the defendant - the Russian Federation - has not provided any answers to questions within the determined period (until February 29, 2016).
