Sweden supports Ukraine in confronting Russian aggression, introducing EU visa-free regime - Groysman

Sweden fully supports Ukraine in confronting Russian aggression and in introducing a visa-free regime with the European Union, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman has said after the first day of his official visit to Sweden.

"I've met with Speaker of the Swedish Parliament Urban Ahlin and Swedish MPs. The position of our colleagues is absolutely clear: Sweden fully supports Ukraine in confronting Russian aggression and in the introduction of a visa-free regime with the EU. The Swedes are amazed at how we have managed to implement reforms with so many challenges," Groysman wrote on his Facebook page.

Groysman said that the Swedish parliamentarians will support the internal reform of the Verkhovna Rada. In particular, the Ukrainian side hopes to "take into account the best practices of the Swedish parliament in the issue of the introduction of e-parliament technologies and increasing the transparency of our work."

His visit began with a visit to the National Archives of Sweden, where the original of the first Constitution of the Ukrainian Cossack State of Hetman Pylyp Orlyk is kept.
