Austrian prosecutors have no ongoing proceedings against Head of the Ukrainian Presidential Administration Borys Lozhkin, Lozhkin said in an interview with the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia (Mirror Weekly) publication.

The presidential administration published a photo copy of a document sent by lawyer of CHSH Austrian law firm Stefan Huber on its websites which confirms that the Austrian law enforcement authorities are not carrying out criminal investigation against Lozhkin.

According to the lawyer, the prosecution authorities did open preliminary proceedings in relation to Lozhkin regarding transactions between companies who sold and bought UMH media holding.

The proceedings were opened to investigate possible money laundering, the edition quotes the lawyer as saying.

"However, upon the initial collection of the facts and evidence, the prosecutor terminated these proceedings," the report said.

Huber said that CHSH, which defends Lozhkin's interests, was informed by the prosecutor's office that the proceedings were terminated because "there are no actual grounds for pursuing them any further. Thus, no proceedings against you are pending at this moment."
