OSCE mission currently can't confirm hardware withdrawal in Donbas

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission says they currently cannot confirm the withdrawal of hardware by the sides from the engagement line in Donbas.

Michael Bociurkiw, spokesman for the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, said on Vesti radio on Tuesday the OSCE has not been able to monitor hardware withdrawal since September 2014, when the Minsk agreements were signed.

Bociurkiw said OSCE monitors have seen hardware move inside the zone and the location where it is stationed, but has not been able to verify and confirm hardware withdrawal. He said three conditions need to be fulfilled for that: the sides need to provide information on what they have and the current location of hardware, ways of its withdrawal, and the place of its further storage.

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission spokesman said the sides are saying they are moving hardware, but the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission currently cannot confirm that.
