DTEK reports power outage in 75 populated localities in Donetsk region

Power supply to almost 1,000 private homes has been restored in the village of Avdotyino in the Budionivsky district in Donetsk, the DTEK regional energy holding reported.

Power supply has been mostly resumed to the village of Maryinka.

Repairs continue in Sloviansk. Power supply had been resumed to 99.5% of residents as of August 10.

According to DTEK, the hostilities in the Donetsk region had cut power to 75 populated localities both completely and partially.

Lights are out in three nine-story apartment houses and 100 private homes in Hrabary, Donetsk, and about 200 private houses near the Topaz plant in the Kuibyshevsky district.

"Most of the Tekstylnyk neighborhood in the Kirovsky district has a power outage. There is no power supply to over 10,000 residents in this neighborhood," the report said.

"There is no power supply to most of Horlivka either. A shell damaged the 110 kV Horlivka substation on August 8 and about 80% of the city - 260,000 residents - had a power outage," DTEK said.

The substation on the premises of the Donetsk Tochmash plant is mined.
