Head of the Ukrainian Presidential Administration Serhiy Liovochkin says that President Viktor Yanukovych has turned down his application for resignation.

"It's true that on Saturday I submitted an application for resignation. It was denied. My main task today is to work hard to resolve the situation peacefully and [help] overcome the crisis, the other is irresponsible. And the question of resignation is likely to be considered by the president after the situation in the country gets stable," he told Interfax-Ukraine on Monday.
