Two Ukrainians killed, two missing after fishing launch collides with Russian border guards' motorboat in Azov Sea, says Ukraine's Border Service

Two Ukrainians died, two went missing, as a result of a collision of a fishing launch with a motorboat of the Russian border guards in the Azov Sea, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported on Thursday morning.

According to the service, a Ukrainian fishing launch and a motorboat of the Coast Guard of the Russian Border Service collided at around 1800 on Wednesday in the Azov Sea near the Russian village of Vorontsovka.

The two vessels crashed during the chase in the area of the Dolgaya Spit, the monitoring center for fishing vessels reported. As a result of the incident the fishing boat capsized.

"According to preliminary information, one of the sailors was rescued. Today, at around 0530, the bodies of the two drowned fishermen were found as a result of the search and rescue activities, the search for another two people who were on the launch continues," the report reads.
