Ukrainian foreign ministry not commenting yet on ECHR's Tymoshenko ruling
The European Court of Human Rights' ruling on former Ukrainian prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko's complaint must be studied before the government envoy to the ECHR provides commentaries, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.
"As we know, the ECHR's ruling dealing with individual aspects in the Tymoshenko case was recently announced in Strasbourg," Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis said at a press briefing on Tuesday.
The government envoy to the ECHR must carefully study the document and then announce a law-based position, he said.
Asked how the ECHR ruling may impact Ukraine's European integration prospect, Perebyinis said, "I cannot speculate. We must get it first, study it and then announce a law-based position."
