Ukraine's new parliament to start working on time, says Azarov

Ukraine's parliament of the 7th convocation will start its work on time, as the country has no money for 'absurd ideas' of rerun elections, the prime minister and head of the Party of Regions, Mykola Azarov, has said.

"Once again, they are calling for destabilization by rallies. Have they forgotten what the international climate is? Does their irresponsibility know no bounds? But nothing will come of it. The country has conducted the elections, formed a parliament, and it will start work on time," he told journalists in Kyiv on Tuesday.

"We have no extra money for all sorts of absurd ideas, and I would like everybody to realize this. The situation in the world and in the country doesn't allow us to take money away from the pensions, wages, from the projects necessary for the country to spend it for some fantastic ideas," he added.

The last plenary week of the current parliament will last from November 6 to November 9.

The first session of the new parliament is scheduled for December 17.
