Yermak: Putin seeks to talk about Ukraine without Ukraine, this not to happen

Vladimir Putin is trying to promote the idea of negotiations with the United States, but seeks to talk about Ukraine without Ukraine's participation, this will not happen, Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak said.
"Putin is trying to promote the idea of negotiations with the United States. But he has a condition: he wants to agree on the fate of Europe – without Europe. And he seeks to talk about Ukraine – without Ukraine. This will not happen," Yermak said in the Telegram channel on Friday.
He said "Putin needs to return to reality himself a long time ago, or he will be returned."
"This does not work in the modern world," the President's Office said.
Earlier, the press secretary of the head of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov said Putin was allegedly ready to talk with U.S. President Donald Trump. Putin said on Friday, in particular, that Russia is ready for negotiations with Kyiv, but under the current ban on such negotiations, introduced by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, their results may become illegitimate.
Putin said that he has always had a business-like and trusting relationship with President Donald Trump. Putin also said that he "cannot but agree with him that if he had been president, if his victory had not been stolen from him in 2020, then perhaps there would not have been the crisis in Ukraine that arose in 2022."
