Ukrainian Red Cross helps to transport victims of Russian attack on Zaporizhia to hospitals

Volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross helped to transport injured people to hospitals and provided first medical aid and psychological assistance to victims of a Russian attack on Zaporizhia on Wednesday, January 8.

"The emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross in Zaporizhia region provided nine injured people with first aid on the spot and transported another seven seriously wounded people to the hospital. The volunteers provided more than 30 victims with psychological assistance," the organization said on Facebook on Thursday.

As reported, 13 people were killed and 113 people were injured as a result of a Russian air strike on Zaporizhia on January 8. Currently, 59 people are hospitalized, ten of them are in serious condition.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported 133 injured as a result of the missile strike.

The fire in an administrative building with an area of 800 square meters and three burning cars were extinguished.

Four administrative buildings, 27 cars and a tram were damaged.

The emergency and rescue operations are over.
