Zelenskyy: Ukraine's ambitious goal to open all negotiation clusters with EU in 2025

Ukraine has a very ambitious goal of opening all negotiation clusters with the European Union in 2025, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"During Poland's presidency of the European Union, we expect to open at least two clusters, and six clusters in total. To be honest, we have an ambitious goal, a very ambitious one, to open all clusters next year," he said at a meeting of the Ukrainian Congress of Local and Regional Authorities on Tuesday.
The President noted that this requires active work by the Verkhovna Rada "without pre-election talk."
As reported, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Minister of Justice Olha Stefanishyna expects that the first chapters of the future negotiations on Ukraine's membership in the European Union will be opened as early as early 2025.
The EU procedure defines 35 negotiating sections-chapters. For these sections, the European Commission first conducts an official screening of the compliance of Ukrainian legislation with EU law. 33 of the 35 negotiating sections are grouped into 6 thematic clusters, while chapters 34 Institutions and 35 Other Issues will be considered separately outside the clusters.
