Pentagon discloses details of new $400 mln assistance package for Ukraine
The Pentagon has disclosed the content of a new military assistance package for Ukraine worth $400 million, which has been announced by U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin in Kyiv on Monday.
The U.S. Department of Defense did this in a letter to media which was published by The Wall Street Journal journalist Lara Seligman on the X social network.
The new package includes additional munitions, armored vehicles and anti-tank weapons, in particular ammunition for HIMARS, 155mm and 105mm artillery ammunition, 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm mortar systems and rounds, TOW missiles, Javelin and AT-4 anti-armor systems, M113 armored personnel carriers, satellite communication equipment, small arms and ammunition, grenades and training equipment, demolitions equipment and munitions, equipment to protect critical national infrastructure, spare part,s ancillary equipment, services, training, and transportation.
As reported, Auston made an unannounced visit to Kyiv on Monday. During the visit, he announced a new package of military assistance for Ukraine.
