Haluschenko discusses energy cooperation projects with EBRD management
Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Haluschenko and Vice President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Matteo Patrone discussed a number of issues on enhancing the energy system sustainability and preparing for winter, the press service of the Ministry of Energy reported.
"We must speed up the implementation of projects as much as possible in order to support Ukraine's energy system during the next heating season. The EBRD is one of our key partners, and joint efforts should ensure tangible results for the stable operation of the energy system," Haluschenko said, as quoted by the press service on Friday.
It is reported that the meeting discussed current projects for the implementation of distributed generation with the participation of state-owned companies, deepening cooperation in the nuclear industry, in particular financing projects to enhance nuclear safety, as well as issues of corporate governance of key energy sector companies, in particular the appointment and election of members of their supervisory boards and management.
