Emergency Service's head: Over 2.8 mln civilians evacuated from dangerous territories during war
Regional military administrations and evacuation units of the State Emergency Service and the National Police evacuated 2.8 million residents from dangerous front-line territories during Russia's full-scale military aggression, Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Andriy Danyk said.
"Our Phoenix evacuation unit operates in Donetsk region in collaboration with the White Angels police unit and regional military administrations," Danyk told Interfax-Ukraine.
He said: "According to regional military administrations, throughout Ukraine as a whole, since the beginning of a full-scale war, more than 2.8 million civilians have been evacuated from dangerous territories, including by our units."
According to the Emergency Service's head, among the evacuees are more than 670,000 children and more than 102,000 people with disabilities.
