Ukrnafta ups reserves by 330,000 tonnes of oil, 618 mcm of gas by expanding boundaries of two licenses

PJSC Ukrnafta, by expanding the boundaries of two existing special permits, has increased reserves by 330,000 tonnes of oil and 618 million cubic meters of gas, the company's press service reported.

According to it, the reason for expanding the boundaries of special permits is to bring their sizes to the contours of the productive deposits of the field.

The area of the subsoil plot of the first special permit is now 18.33 sq km, which is 23.1% more than the previously provided site for use. The total volume of reserves increased by 217,000 tonnes of oil and condensate and 232 million cubic meters of gas.

The area of the second license increased by 16.3% and amounted to 41.75 sq km. The total volume of reserves increased by 113,000 tonnes of condensate and 386 million cubic meters of gas.

"Until 2023, the company expanded the boundaries of special permits only twice. I thank the company employees who prepared and submitted the necessary applications and packages of documents to the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine, after work on which the corresponding orders were received, and thus the opportunities for resource extraction increased," director of Ukrnafta Serhiy Koretsky said.
