Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal says that the joint venture of the German concern Rheinmetall and JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry (the former concern Ukroboronprom) has already been registered.

“We are actively working with German business. I am pleased to announce that on October 18, the joint venture Rheinmetall - Ukrainian Defense Industry, which was created by the leaders of the defense industries of Germany and Ukraine, was registered,” Shmyhal said at the sixth German-Ukrainian economic forum on Tuesday.

According to the prime minister, the creation of a joint venture is a landmark event that takes cooperation between countries to a new level and will allow “building the arsenal of a new world.”

Later, the prime minister wrote on Telegram that the joint venture Rheinmetall – Ukrainian Defense Industry LLC would carry out maintenance and repair of equipment supplied by partners to Ukraine. The production of the leading models of Rheinmetall AG equipment will be localized at this enterprise.

As reported, on September 29, the German Federal Cartel Office allowed the creation of a joint venture between the German concern Rheinmetall and Ukrainian Defense Industry.
