Public debt for housing services in Ukraine 9.8% down in May

The debt of the population of Ukraine for housing and utilities services in May 2019 decreased by 9.8% compared to April 2019 and amounted to UAH 52 billion (excluding electricity).

The State Statistics Service said the data are given excluding the annexed territory of Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as part of the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

According to statistics, in general, in May 2019 Ukrainians paid UAH 11.5 billion for housing services, which amounted to 203.9% of the amount accrued for this month. Some UAH 3.7 billion was paid for electricity supply.

The highest level of payment for housing services in May 2019 was recorded in Kyiv (318% of the amount accrued) and Ternopil (312.1%) regions, as well as in Kirovograd (311.6%).

The lowest level of payment was in Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Luhansk, Odesa, Chernivtsi regions and Kyiv (163-177% of the amount of charges).
