Ukrzaliznytsia denies the relation of its production processes to the sit-down strikes in workshops of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Head of the Transport Logistics Center of Ukrzaliznytsia Serhiy Pidhoretsky has told Interfax-Ukraine.

According to him, Ukrzaliznytsia hopes that all the problems that have arisen with the internal optimization of transport logistics at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih would be resolved, as well as the work of the railroad shop of the iron and steel works would be normalized.

"Problems in the organization of industrial logistics arising at the enterprise itself are exclusively the internal production policy of this enterprise. Ukrzaliznytsia, as before, no matter what production processes develop within the enterprise, continues to provide services for the supply of wagons - both its own and those of other owners who serve the enterprise in accordance with contractual obligations," Pidhoretsky said.

Pidhoretsky said that Ukrzaliznytsia remains a partner of the enterprise and it is ready to share all internal problems appeared at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, as this enterprise is one of the key strategic partners of the company.

Earlier, the administration of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih said that due to the strike of railway workers at the enterprise some workshops have been stopped and the entire enterprise could be halted.

According to one of the trade unions at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, the sit-down strike being held at enterprises of Ukrzaliznytsia in Kryvy Rih over the rolling stock operation failure, started affecting production processes of mining and metal enterprises in the city, which could entail a manmade disaster.
