Boryspil airport expects 20% rise in passenger flow in 2017

The Boryspil international airport (Kyiv), the largest airport of the country, expects that passenger flow in 2017 would grow by 20% on average, to 10.3-10.4 million people.

An Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported that Boryspil airport Head Pavlo Riabikin gave this information after the presentation of the SkyUp airline in Kyiv on Thursday.

"We have an absolute record for the whole history of Boryspil: it is 10 million passengers as of December 7, 2017. According to the results of the year, depending on the pre-New Year charter program, it will be within 10.3-10.4 million people. As for finance, this will also be an absolute record," he said.

Boryspil Airport saw a net profit of UAH 1.63 billion in January-September 2017, which is 58.8% more than for the same period in 2016, taking into account the previously announced data. Its passenger traffic grew by 24%, up to 8.07 million, and the number of transfer passengers - by another 33%.

Boryspil International Airport is the main airport of Ukraine. The airport has two runways: one with a length of 4,000 meters and a width of 60 meters, and the second with a length of 3,500 meters and a width of 63 meters. Four passenger terminals, postal and cargo complexes are located on the territory of the airport.
