Kyivenergo consumers' debt for electricity 51% up in Jan-Sept

The debt of electricity consumers serviced by public joint-stock company Kyivenergo grew by 51% (by UAH 320 million), to UAH 945 million, Kyivenergo Commercial Director Yevhen Bushma has said.

"If we speak about electricity we started the year with a debt of around UAH 625 million for all categories of clients, and in January-September the sum grew to UAH 945 million," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.

Bushma said that Kyivvodokanal had the largest debt growth – over UAH 200 million. Kyivpastrans is the second in the debt accumulation pace.

He said that the debt of households grew from UAH 198 million to UAH 244 million.

The company said that in the past two months households' debt for hot water was growing (the debt grew by UAH 20 million in the past month).

Kyivenergo operates almost all energy facilities located in the capital, except for Darnytsia combined heat and power plant. DTEK owns 72.4% of Kyivenergo. Another 25% plus one share stake in the company belongs to the state.
