The growth of industrial production in Ukraine in March 2016 amounted to 4.8% compared to the same month in 2015, while in February the figure stood at 7.6%, the State Statistics Service has reported.

Under a new reporting form, the agency said that adjusted for the effect of calendar days, industrial production in March 2016 increased by 4.2% from March 2015, while in February by 4.9%.

In general, for the first quarter of this year the growth in industry reached 3.7%, whereas it stood at 2.9% in January-February.

The service said that industrial production in March in relation to February rose by 6.8%, but decreased by 1.3% given the seasonal factor.

The service said in January-March 2015 from January-March 2014 the decline in industrial production was 20.5%, while in general last year industrial production in Ukraine fell by 13.4%, while in 2014 by 10.1%, in 2013 by 4.7%, in 2012 by 0.5%.
