President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev during the meeting in Davos on Friday discussed a preparation for the meeting of the Council of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Ukraine in Baku in 2016.

"Petro Poroshenko and Ilham Aliyev discussed preparation for the meeting of the Council of Presidents of two states in Baku in 2016," a president's press service reported.

Moreover, they agreed to hold soon the eleventh meeting of the Ukraine-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation.

"The interlocutors also agreed to step up cooperation as a part of the GUAM [Organization for Democracy and Economic Cooperation. In this view, the head of the Ukrainian state congratulated a representative of Azerbaijan, who was elected for the post of GUAM Secretary General," reads the report.
