Average price of gas sold to Ukrainian households is UAH 4,200 per 1,000 cubic meters - report

The average price of natural gas sold to Ukrainian households is UAH 4,205.53 per 1,000 cubic meters (value added tax not included), according to a report of the working group on the disclosure of information on methods of forming retail prices of natural gas for the needs of households.

According to the report, the sum includes the average price of natural gas as a good – UAH 3,293.60 per 1,000 cubic meter, the general transportation tariff – UAH 656.20 per 1,000 cubic meters, the tariff for supply – UAH 90.30 per 1,000 cubic meters, expenses of Naftogaz Ukrainy – UAH 32.40 per 1,000 cubic meters and the additional levy for natural gas of UAH 1.04 per 1,000 cubic meters (value added tax not included).

The working group said that the planned consumption by households at the beneficial price of UAH 3,600 per 1,000 cubic meters (up to 200 cubic meters a month) is 8.654 million cubic meters, and at the price of UAH 7,188 per 1,000 cubic meters (over 200 cubic meters a month), it is 5.846 million cubic meters.

The group said that the total planned annual volume of gas sold to households is 14.5 billion cubic meters, gas sold to heating supply companies (for the needs of household and religious organizations) – 6.8 billion cubic meters. The planned volume of Ukrainian-produced gas is 12.8 billion cubic meters, and imported gas (for the needs of households) – 8.5 billion cubic meters.

According to the report, the general cost of Ukrainian-made gas allocated to the needs of households is UAH 20.352 billion and that for imported gas – UAH 49.802 billion (taking into account the price of imported gas of UAH 5,859 per 1,000 cubic meters).
