The main beneficiary of Bank Finance and Credit (Kyiv), Ukrainian businessman and MP Kostiantyn Zhevaho, is confident in the successful operation of the bank, reads a post on the financial institution’s website.

"It is out of the question that Bank Finance and Credit is experiencing some difficulty or it is under the threat of irreversible effects. At present the bank serves a number of industry leaders in Ukraine, which increase production volumes. With this kind of economic foundation, the bank will survive and develop," the bank's press service said, citing Zhevaho.

Zhevaho also said that the bank would pay deposits which have expired according to limitations set by the National Bank of Ukraine.

"The National Bank of Ukraine has imposed restrictions. Deposits in foreign currency can be obtained in a certain volume. There is no reason for panic," he said.

Bank Finance and Credit was founded in 1990. According to the bank, at the beginning of October 2014 its major shareholders were Askania LLC (45.92%), PJSC F&C Realty (41.58%), and Industrial Construction LLC (6.78%).

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, in terms of total assets on October 1, 2014 the bank ranked 13th (UAH 31.197 billion) among the 166 banks operating in the country.
