Three industrial parks – Dolyna in Ivano-Frankivsk region, Slavuta in Khmelnytsky region and Riasne-2 in Lviv – will be put on the register of industrial parks in the near term, the press service of the State Agency for Investment and National Projects has reported.

The register of industrial parks was created under the law on industrial parks.

"The interagency commission at the Economic Development and Trade Ministry, which prepares recommendations on the inclusion of industrial parks in the register, decided to put three parks on the list. Soon they will start operating in the regions," the press service said, citing Agency Head Vladyslav Kaskiv.

He said that the creation of industrial parks in three regions will strengthen their investment attractiveness, stir up the development of domestic production and will promote imports replacement, the attraction of investment and the creation of jobs, as well as increasing export potential.

The Dolyna industrial park in Ivano-Frankivsk will be created on a land plot of 27.1 hectares in the Aerodrom tract, to which the city council plans to attract an investor to build new industrial facilities, in particular, instrument-making, electronics, automobile building elements, light and food industries, and deep processing of wood and logistics.

The authors of the project said that thanks to its realization, new jobs will be created, and the negative influence of the continuous decline in production at oil and gas enterprises of the city will be reduced.

Lviv City Council in October 2013 allocated a land plot of 22.6 hectares to create the Riasne-2 industrial park. It is planned to attract an investor to create 9-10 engineering, instrument-making, light or food industry enterprises that will create from 6,000 to 12,000 jobs.

According to the concepts, it is planned to raise UAH 10.4 million from the national budget for the Riasne-2 park, UAH 6.25 million for the Dolyna park and UAH 592,000 for the Slavuta park.

The law on industrial parks foresees a possibility of allocating funds from the national budget to support the organization of industrial parks.

The Industrial Parks National Project foresees the creation of 10 pilot industrial parks in various regions of Ukraine with modern engineering and servicing infrastructure on land plots from 15 to 700 hectares each.
