The State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPF) in Kyiv region has announced a tender to lease 2,268 square meters of space in Terminal D of the Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv) to place restaurants, cafes and duty free stores, according to the report of the fund in the Vidomosti Pryvatyzatsii newspaper.

The report says that the largest rental period for all the premises is two years and 11 months.

The fund announced a tender to place duty free stores in nine premises of gross are of 1,425 square meters on the third floor of Terminal D and in two premises of 53.7 square meters and 36.9 square meters respectively on the fourth floor of the terminal. The independent appraised value of the property is UAH 77.936 million, the rent rate is 18%, and the rent rate to be paid at once is UAH 1.169 million (value added tax not included).

In addition, a tender to place a store selling nonfood on the area of 40 square meters on the third floor of Terminal D. The appraised value of the property is UAH 2.225 million, the rent rate is 18%, and the rent rate to be paid at once is UAH 33,408 (value added tax not included).

It is planned to place two restaurants with day working hours on the third floor of the terminal: one on the area of 300 square meters (the appraised value of the property is UAH 17.052 million, the rent rate is 20%, and the rent rate to be paid at once is UAH 284,202) and the second one on 240 square meters (the appraised value of the property is UAH 13.642 million, the rent rate is 20%, and the rent rate to be paid at once is UAH 227,361).

Another two café-bars will be placed on the third floor: a café-bar selling goods on which excise duty is imposed on the area of 118 square meters (the appraised value of the property is UAH 6.786 million, the rent rate is 15%, and the rent rate to be paid at once is UAH 84,823) and a café-bar which will not sell the said goods on the area of 55 square meters (the appraised value of the property is UAH 3.163 million, the rent rate is 8%, and the rent rate to be paid at once is UAH 21,086).

Bids for leasing of the premises can be submitted until August 13, 2013. The tender will be held on August 19, 2013.

Terminal D of the Boryspil Airport is the largest in the country. Its area is 107,000 square meters. It was built between November 2008 and May 2012.

Boryspil airport is the main airport of the country. It provides 65% of passenger transportation by air in Ukraine. This is the only airport in the country from which transcontinental flights are performed.
