Energoatom raises UAH 390 m from Prominvestbank

National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom has raised a renewable credit line of UAH 390 million from Kyiv-based Prominvestbank, reads a report of the company on the state procurement Web portal.

The report says that the agreement was signed on July 19, 2013.

As reported, the cost of servicing the loan is UAH 69.225 million (excluding VAT), or 17.75% per annum. The loan funds will be attracted for one year.

Subsidiary Bank Sberbank of Russia, offering a loan at 18.5% per annum, and Oschadbank, offering a loan at 20% per annum, also participated in the tender.

Energoatom is the operator of all four Ukrainian-based operating nuclear power plants, which have 15 VVER reactors with an overall generating capacity of 13.835 gigawatts.

Prominvestbank was founded in 1992. As of April 1, 2013, its largest shareholder was Russia's Vnesheconombank (97.85%). Prominvestbank ranked fifth among the 175 operating banks in Ukraine as of January 1, 2013 in terms of its total assets, which were worth UAH 41.318 billion according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
