Ukraine places $1.25 b in 10-year eurobonds at 7.5%

Entering the debt securities market on Tuesday, Ukraine has placed $1.25 billion in 10-year eurobonds yielding 7.5% per annum, which is in line with the lower limit of the benchmark, the Bloomberg agency has reported.

JP Morgan, Citi, Sberbank CIB and VTB Capital acted as lead-managers of the placement.

In February Ukraine placed an additional $1 billion in eurobonds from its issue maturing in 2022 at 7.625%. It previously placed $1.25 billion of the 10-year bonds in November 2012 at 7.8%.

The volume of the total issue came to $2.25 billion.

Ukrainian authorities are to pay around $9 billion in foreign debts.
