Organizers of Champions League final want to avoid direct contact between fans of Real Madrid and Liverpool

Fans of the UEFA Champions League finalists Real Madrid and Liverpool will reach the center of Kyiv and go to the NSC Olimpiyskiy stadium on the day of the final on May 26 by separate routes in order to avoid their direct contact.

"Today Boryspil airport is ready to receive 100 charter flights, 20,000 fans who will arrive on the day of the match and leave after the match. Two routes of shuttle buses have been worked out jointly with Kyivpastrans. Up to 150 city buses will be used to transport fans from the airport to the city center and then back," manager for transport and mobility during the finals of the UEFA Champions League 2018 Serhiy Khyzhniak said at a press conference on Monday.

He noted that fans of Liverpool will be delivered to Shevchenko Park from Terminal D, where there will be a meeting point for the fans of the English team. The second shuttle route will operate from Terminal B of Boryspil to the Ukraine Palace, where the meeting point of the fans of Real Madrid will be located.

"This has been done in order to distribute the streams so that the fans can enter the stadium from both sides and not cross paths. That is, we want to avoid direct contact between the fans of different teams," he stressed.
