Poroshenko creates organizing committee to prepare and conduct chess match for world champion title among women in 2016

Ukrainian Presidents Petro Poroshenko signed the decree on creating an organizing committee to prepare and conduct the chess match for world champion title among women in 2016, the president's press service reported.

"According to the decree, Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Borys Lozhkin became chairman of the organizing committee on preparation and conducting the chess match for world champion title among women in 2016. His deputies are Sports and Youth Minister of Ukraine Ihor Zhdanov and Deputy Head of the Presidential Presidential of Ukraine Rostyslav Pavlenko. The committee also includes President of the Ukrainian Chess Federation Viktor Kapustin, President of the World Chess Federation Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, Chairman of Lviv Regional Chess Federation Taras Kernetsky, representatives of the government, the Verkhovna Rada, heads of law enforcement agencies, Lviv Mayor and Governor of [Lviv] region," reads the statement.

The document confirms committee's members, its work and decision confirmation procedures. The Presidential Administration is responsible for the organizing issues.

According to the press service, the document comes into effect on the day it's published.

As reported, the final match of the World Chess Championship among women will be held in Lviv in February-March 2016. A Ukrainian and Chinese contestants will compete for the title.
