Israel's resilience inspires Ukraine, - Olena Zelenska

The stability of the State of Israel is a source of inspiration for the Ukrainian nation, which has been suffering from russian aggression for 5 months. The First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, told reporters after the end of the first training for Ukrainian psychologists, conducted by the Israeli organization NATAL Trauma and Resiliency Center.

«It would not be an exaggeration to say that the past experience of Israel inspires the citizens of Ukraine. We see the strength and power of resilience of the Israelis in the difficult situation in which Israel has been for many years. Your resilience is an example for us», - she said.

The First Lady also emphasized that official Kyiv appreciates any assistance provided.

«I ask to help Ukraine in all possible ways», - she said.

As part of the program to modernize Ukraine's mental health system, 27 Ukrainian psychologists will undergo 4-month courses on diagnosing symptoms of stress, anxiety and trauma, providing support to first responders, preventing burnout and secondary injuries, and improving resilience.

The project was supported by the first ladies of Ukraine and Israel, Olena Zelenska and Michal Herzog. They agreed to cooperate in humanitarian efforts to improve mental health and support people with psychological trauma.
