Employees of Territorial Recruitment Centres (TCK) have no right to take away cell phones from citizens - Major Kozak

Employees of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centres (TCK) do not have the right to take cellular communications from citizens, but they have the right to determine the place of communication for enlisted men in the premises, said Deputy Chief of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centre in the city of Kyiv, Major Larysa Kozak.

“I must say right away: Territorial Recruitment Centres do not have the right to take away mobile communication devices. But it must be borne in mind that the TCK building itself is a highly secure facility,” she said at a press conference at the Interfax-Ukraine news agency Tuesday morning.

She stressed that document management is carried out in the premises of the TCK and computer equipment with limited access is located, therefore, “the legitimate requirement of the TCK employee will be to determine the place of communication for a enlisted person in the premises.”

“Every district TCK should have such a room. Therefore, TCK has no right to take away cell phones, only to restrict the access. Communication is allowed only in the designated places,” Kozak said.

According to her, some offices in the TCK are divided into categories and even employees are prohibited from working there with cellular communication devices that have a certain radiation.
