Almost 11,200 generators installed in Ukrainian clinics - Ministry of Health
Almost 11,200 generators have already been installed in Ukrainian medical institutions, the Ministry of Health reported.
As reported on the website of the Ministry of Health, another 52 generators with a capacity of 18 to 240 kW, purchased as part of a joint project with the World Bank Ukraine Emergency COVID-19 Response and Vaccination project, will be supplied to nine regions, including Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Lviv, Ternopil, Rivne, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and Khmelnytsky.
In the event of a power outage, the generators will operate automatically and supply voltage to the network. Thus, medical institutions will be able to continue to provide medical services to patients under any conditions.
At the same time, the Ministry of Health emphasizes that “Russia’s attacks on energy infrastructure have intensified, and this creates additional problems and burdens for the medical system.”
“Thus, the provision of medical institutions with equipment for uninterrupted power supply continues throughout Ukraine,” the Ministry of Health emphasized.
