In Poltava region, number of victims as result of yesterday's missile strike increased to 12, one person killed, two rescued – Interior Minister

In Poltava region, as a result of yesterday's missile strike, one person was killed, two were rescued, 12 injured in total, Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko clarified the consequences of the attack on Tuesday morning.

"The invaders launched a rocket attack last night on a two-storey apartment building where about 30 people lived. The State Emergency Service units rescued two people, psychologists of the National Police and the Emergency Service provided assistance to about 20 residents. Unfortunately, one person was killed and 12 others were injured. There are two children among them," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

In addition, two three-storey houses, one four-storey and about a dozen cars were damaged due to the missile strike.

The rescue operation lasted more than three hours.

According to Klymenko, almost 100 rescuers worked in Poltava region that night.
