Yermak, Barrow discuss security, defense issues

On instructions from the President of Ukraine, Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak had a phone call with National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Timothy Barrow, during which he discussed with him issues of defense and security, in particular in the Black Sea basin, the President's Office of Ukraine said on Wednesday in the evening.

"Yermak thanked the United Kingdom for its unwavering support of Ukraine, including military support. In this context, the interlocutors discussed the current situation on the frontline and the importance of bolstering the protection of Ukraine's energy infrastructure ahead of winter. They also exchanged views on strengthening security in the Black Sea against Russian terrorist attacks," the office said.

It is also reported that the interlocutors focused on the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula and preparations for the third meeting at the level of national security advisers and foreign policy advisers to the heads of state in the near future. Yermak invited Barrow to personally participate in this event.

In addition, it is reported that Yermak and Barrow also exchanged views on events in the Middle East and noted the importance of protecting civilians in combat situations.
