As of Monday morning, law enforcement officers managed to identify 49 people killed as a result of a missile attack on Hroza (Kupiansk district, Kharkiv region) on October 5, Dmytro Chubenko, press secretary of the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office, said.

"In the morning, 49 people were identified based on external signs and with the help of rapid DNA tests. Based on the number of remains of bodies found, at least 51 deaths were recorded. There are also appeals from relatives of five people who were probably in the cafe, but now they are not among those identified. These people are now considered missing. There are no children among them," Chubenko said.

According to him, the death toll may increase.

"Based on statements from relatives, the number of deaths may increase by another three," Chubenko said.

As reported, at about 13:25 on October 5, the occupiers launched a missile attack, presumably with Iskander-M, on a cafe-shop in the village of Hroza, where a funeral was being held on the occasion of the reburial of a Ukrainian military man, a native of this village. The strike killed 51 people and injured six.
